Advent with me: the dying year

I found a pretty necklace in a shop this weekend. I know advent isn’t about consumerism, but you should know, I bought it.

It’s a pendant based on the skeleton of a dead leaf. Each one was different and this is the one I chose.

Lots of people don’t like winter because it feels like life is retreating from us and the creeping cold is grasping at us, pulling us away from the warmth.

In the dying of the year, even the fallen leaves can be beautiful. Beauty can always be found, if you pay attention, even when everything around you seems lost.
