51: summer nights

It’s been a long week, and never has Friday night been more anticipated. I got the train to Petts Wood.  I have no idea where exactly Petts Wood is, but GB’s parents were throwing a celebration for her engagement there. It was a lovely evening – a balmy night where you sit out chatting and eating and you hardly realise the sun has set and the stars are out until it’s nearly time for bed. Despite all the rain and the wind we’ve had, this was summer as it should be.
